Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Menezes (ranked 119 p4p, 654 weight class) and Edward Grubbs (ranked 15 p4p, 91 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Menezes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Grubbs!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grubbs takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Grubbs throws an overhand right that lands on Menezes's shoulder, as Menezes tries to avoid the shot.
Grubbs uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Menezes.
Grubbs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Menezes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grubbs.

Menezes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grubbs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close round but I would say that Arthur Menezes will probably get the nod.

It seemed like Grubbs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Menezes sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grubbs's guard.
Menezes thows a huge punch but Grubbs dodges it nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arthur Menezes.
I think Menezes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
