Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arlo Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ned Chicane !
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chicane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Chicane tries a body shot but Cash blocks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chicane has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Chicane is leaning against Cash and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Cash fails to pull guard.
I was talking to Cash's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Cash manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chicane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cash is tightening it up a little... Chicane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Chicane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Chicane taps out! Nice BJJ there by Cash!
