PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Sikoa (ranked 3206 p4p, 3745 weight class) and Krisp Enwah (ranked 438 p4p, 493 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joel Sikoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krisp Enwah!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Enwah gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sikoa to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Sikoa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Enwah controls Sikoa momentarily but Sikoa frees himself.

Sikoa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Enwah is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sikoa, into his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sikoa is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Enwah can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sikoa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Enwah dives on top into guard.

Sikoa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Enwah is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sikoa.

Enwah thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Sikoa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Enwah can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sikoa is looking to escape.

Sikoa is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sikoa bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Enwah closes the distance and pushes Sikoa back into the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Enwah takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Enwah has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sikoa uses from the top position.

That's time! Sikoa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Enwah is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sikoa defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Enwah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sikoa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Krisp Enwah comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Enwah has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
