PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fury Tyson (ranked 2469 p4p, 3885 weight class) and Monty Burns (ranked 259 p4p, 397 weight class). Tyson comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Pigs. The key to victory for Fury Tyson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Fury Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Monty Burns!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson connects with a crisp jab.
We've been told by Tyson's head coaches at Monkey Magic that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Burns gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tyson sizes up Burns with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Burns closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tyson's guard.
Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyson is retaining full guard.
Burns slips nicely into half guard.
Tyson tries to roll over but Burns keeps him under control.
Burns passes the guard and advances to mount!

Burns thowing shots but they're missing.

Burns is working for a guillotine from mount but Tyson frees his head quite easily.

Burns goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tyson is on top in guard.

Burns wants to sweep but no luck.
Our spies down at at Blacksmith MMA Gym 🇺🇲 inform us that Burns has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Burns lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tyson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Burns drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick Burns off! Burns jumps back into Tyson's guard.

Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burns throwing strikes but missing.
Tyson is pulling down on Burns's head. It's preventing any offense from Burns, at least for the moment.
Burns wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Burns sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyson's guard.
Burns tries to pass to full mount but Tyson defends it.
Tyson is trying to control but can't.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Tyson is defending well.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Burns keeps trying to improve his position.
Tyson is in trouble now - Burns has advanced to mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Burns wants to finish this one by submission but Tyson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Burns.
Burns with shots to the head and body - Tyson looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Monty Burns dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Burns tries for a takedown but Tyson circles away easily
and Tyson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Burns has a takedown stuffed.
Burns tries to move into range but Tyson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Burns fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tyson avoids it really well and circles away.
Fury Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monty Burns.
Tyson thuds his right hand into Burns's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burns darts in looking for a takedown but Tyson gets double underhooks and turns Burns into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Burns fails to take his opponent's back.

Burns goes for an armbar but Tyson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tyson.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fury Tyson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Monty Burns is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Oooooh!!! Tyson has knocked Burns down with a huge combo! Tyson steps away and waves a wobbly Burns back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tyson lands a nice hook to Burns's body. Burns takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Burns shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tyson is trying to defend but Burns finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tyson is looking to stand up but Burns isn't so interested in that idea.

Burns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyson as he jumps to the side.

Tyson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Burns shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tyson counters with a right hand to the body.
Burns takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Burns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyson but Tyson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tyson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Burns.
Burns has his takedown stuffed
and Tyson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burns takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tyson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Fury Tyson showed his dominance in that final round.
