The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cake connects with the punch.
Hickok's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cake connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hickok scrambles back to his feet.

and Cake cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cake rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hickok counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hickok just misses with a punch to the body.
Hickok takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hickok pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hickok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cake moves away.
Cake swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hickok.
Cake connects with a single shot there.
Cake pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cake throws a shot from downtown. Hickok moves away and avoids it.

Kush Cake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cake has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cake might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
