PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dimebag Abbot (ranked 3713 p4p, 2445 weight class) and Albert White (ranked 432 p4p, 307 weight class). Abbot's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Going The Distance. The key to victory for Dimebag Abbot has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dimebag Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert White!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice shot lands for White.

White closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Abbot's guard.
White wants to control from the top but Abbot keeps moving.
Abbot has momentary wrist control but White slips an elbow through the middle.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abbot swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Abbot definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw White working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

White connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Abbot's hands.

White is nestled in close to Abbot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

I've got White winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
