Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marlon Raynard (ranked 462 p4p, 1816 weight class) and Jean Michel Plutarque (ranked 62 p4p, 244 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlon Raynard! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Michel Plutarque! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plutarque forces Raynard back against the cage and clinches. Raynard cracks Plutarque with a nice body shot. A body shot lands from Raynard.
Raynard blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Plutarque makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Raynard looks to throw an elbow but misses. Raynard lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Plutarque or not. Raynard throws an elbow that misses.
Plutarque tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Plutarque tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Raynard smiles and moves away.
Plutarque uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raynard.
Plutarque clinches with his opponent.
Plutarque jumps guard but Raynard stands there with Plutarque around his waist. Plutarque gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Marlon Raynard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Michel Plutarque. A body shot lands from Raynard.
Plutarque is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A short left from Raynard. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Raynard. Plutarque looks winded! Raynard throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Raynard lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Raynard gets through Plutarque's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Plutarque's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's one minute gone in the round. Plutarque jumps guard but Raynard turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A short right from Raynard on the inside. Raynard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Raynard scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Raynard feints with a jab and clips Plutarque right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Plutarque is sent crashing into the canvas and Raynard leaps in for the kill! Plutarque tries to get to his feet but Raynard is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Plutarque is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marlon Raynard! Marlon Raynard retains his welterweight title! Marlon Raynard managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Shadow Realm Apparel, into his post fight interview.
