Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Custer (ranked 166 p4p, 362 weight class) and Stoner Steve (ranked 27 p4p, 55 weight class). Custer comes to the cage accompanied by Zebrahead - Falling Apart. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Custer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stoner Steve!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Custer throws a combination. Steve tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Stoner Steve has been cut.
A chopping leg kick lands by Custer.
Custer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Steve misses with a body shot.
Steve throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Custer quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
A swing and a miss from Steve.
Custer is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Steve.
Steve thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steve blocks the body kick.
Custer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Steve.
Steve swings for the body but Custer moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Custer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Custer lands a nice shot to the body.
Custer defending well as Steve loads up on a big left hand.
Steve takes one to the side of the head.
Steve misses with a shot to the body
and Custer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Steve's knee momentarily.
The fighters circling - Steve throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
An attempted straight right counter from Custer misses the target.
Steve stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Custer staying out of range there.
Steve thuds a left hand into Custer's body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Custer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Custer with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steve misses with an uppercut. Custer saw that one coming.
Custer swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Custer connects with a solid leg kick.
Steve throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Custer's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Steve dives in looking to finish as Custer flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Steve's strikes! Steve is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Custer's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Custer was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stoner Steve!
