Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Buster Glover (ranked 237 p4p, 408 weight class) and Genkei Takahashi (ranked 33 p4p, 50 weight class). Genkei Takahashi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buster Glover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Genkei Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glover swings widly with a right hand
and Takahashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Takahashi throws a jab when Glover was well out of range. It looked like Glover wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Glover lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Takahashi just misses with a punch to the body.
Glover throws a looping overhand right but Takahashi ducks down to avoid it. Glover's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Takahashi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Glover scrambles back to his feet. Takahashi misses with a straight right. Glover throwing a counter right hand but Takahashi manages to avoid it. Takahashi throws a leg kick that is checked and Glover counters with a lovely straight right hand! Takahashi on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Takahashi is rocked! Glover has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takahashi finds it's way round the side to connect with Glover's head. Takahashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Glover finish him? Genkei Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahashi scores with a takedown into Glover's guard. Takahashi seems to have recovered his senses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takahashi trying to control but Glover is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Glover haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Takahashi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Takahashi looking to sit in guard and control but Glover gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Glover wants to get up but he can't break Takahashi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Takahashi looking for a guillotine here but Glover defends easily.
Glover wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Takahashi's closed guard. He's half up but Takahashi has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Takahashi pivots and extends the arm, Glover falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Takahashi! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Genkei Takahashi! Genkei Takahashi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
