Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Umaro Sunsmon (ranked 1274 p4p, 1913 weight class) and Tau Masunwendinghamar (ranked 153 p4p, 220 weight class). Masunwendinghamar has chosen What You Gonna Do as his entrance music. Tau Masunwendinghamar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Umaro Sunsmon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tau Masunwendinghamar! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sunsmon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Masunwendinghamar on the side of the head.
It looks like Tau Masunwendinghamar has been cut. Masunwendinghamar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The fighters circling - Masunwendinghamar throws out the jab but it was never going to land. An attempted straight right counter from Sunsmon misses the target. Masunwendinghamar scores with a jab. Sunsmon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Umaro Sunsmon has been cut. Sunsmon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Masunwendinghamar moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tau Masunwendinghamar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sunsmon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sunsmon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Masunwendinghamar misses with an uppercut. Sunsmon saw that one coming. Sunsmon slips under a jab from Masunwendinghamar. Masunwendinghamar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sunsmon. Sunsmon takes a swing at Masunwendinghamar's ribcage but misses. Sunsmon fails in his attempt to clinch. Sunsmon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Masunwendinghamar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Masunwendinghamar throws a jab when Sunsmon was well out of range. Sunsmon misses with a hook
and Masunwendinghamar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Masunwendinghamar moves out of range of the strikes. Masunwendinghamar lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A slow jab from Masunwendinghamar misses its intended target. Masunwendinghamar tests Sunsmon's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Umaro Sunsmon's cut is getting worse. Masunwendinghamar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masunwendinghamar jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sunsmon ducks under a wild hook from Masunwendinghamar. Masunwendinghamar misses with a hook. Sunsmon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Masunwendinghamar's hands. Sunsmon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sunsmon there as he acknowledges the shot. Sunsmon throws out a powerful jab. Masunwendinghamar lands with an overhand left. Masunwendinghamar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Umaro Sunsmon's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd cheers as Sunsmon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Masunwendinghamar doesn't seem phased though. Masunwendinghamar cracks Sunsmon with a right hand to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sunsmon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Masunwendinghamar counters with a nice uppercut.
Jeez, Umaro Sunsmon's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Masunwendinghamar misses with a left hand enabling Sunsmon to counter with a crisp jab. Nice defenses there by Masunwendinghamar. Masunwendinghamar throws a hook but Sunsmon blocks it. Sunsmon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Masunwendinghamar throws out the jab. Sunsmon misses with an uppercut. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Masunwendinghamar! But no joy. Masunwendinghamar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sunsmon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Sunsmon misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sunsmon throws a quick inside leg kick. Sunsmon staying out of range there. Masunwendinghamar drops Sunsmon with a huge uppercut! Sunsmon drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Masunwendinghamar is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tau Masunwendinghamar! In defeat, Umaro Sunsmon stepped up to the mic, saying 'Cut cut cut'.
