PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Bolleke (ranked 108 p4p, 580 weight class) and AJ Llewellyn (ranked 12 p4p, 83 weight class). Bolleke comes into the arena with RGP - DANG DIGGI BANG blaring out of the sound system. Llewellyn is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Doomsday. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Llewellyn!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Llewellyn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bolleke tries to buck Llewellyn off but Llewellyn is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bolleke parries the strikes from Llewellyn easily there. Llewellyn is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bolleke to escape.
Bolleke is working to avoid the ground and pound but Llewellyn connects with a decent elbow.
Llewellyn wants to control but Bolleke is keeping him busy.
Llewellyn in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bolleke manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Bolleke wants to work for an arm triangle but Llewellyn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bolleke seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Llewellyn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bolleke is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Llewellyn has managed to free his arm - good work.
Llewellyn is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bolleke scores with a couple of nice shots.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Oscar Bolleke will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bolleke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

It looks like AJ Llewellyn has been cut.

Bolleke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Llewellyn manages to get himself to full guard.
