Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boyko Kersikov (ranked 865 p4p, 583 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 125 p4p, 81 weight class). Kersikov comes to the cage accompanied by Sefa - God's Plan. Boyko Kersikov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bofur Widenose! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Widenose gets a double leg takedown into Kersikov's guard. Kersikov being controlled here, momentarily. Widenose wants to control from the top but Kersikov keeps moving. Kersikov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Widenose drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Widenose jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kersikov controlling Widenose's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kersikov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Widenose.
That's one minute gone in the round. Widenose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Widenose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Widenose pushes down on Kersikov's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kersikov is trying to get back to full guard. Widenose winds up and cracks Kersikov with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kersikov trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Widenose has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Widenose with the ground and pound from mount. Kersikov can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Widenose fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Widenose looking to control and managing it successfully. Kersikov is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kersikov tries to lock up and control but Widenose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Widenose scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Widenose scoring with strikes but Kersikov is staying in there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kersikov is desperately trying to improve his position but Widenose has a good base and remains in mount. Widenose with shots to the head and body - Kersikov looks very uncomfortable down there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bofur Widenose dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Widenose will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Widenose throws a body shot but no joy. Kersikov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Boyko Kersikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bofur Widenose. Widenose waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kersikov. That's one minute gone in the round. Widenose misses with a takedown attempt and Kersikov makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Widenose feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Widenose controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kersikov is trying to control the position but Widenose postures up. Kersikov controlling Widenose's posture. Kersikov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Widenose working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Widenose throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kersikov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Widenose is working Kersikov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kersikov keeping moving, preventing Widenose from controlling successfully. Widenose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kersikov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kersikov can't keep his opponent in guard - Widenose advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Widenose working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Kersikov wants to control the action here but instead Widenose manages to pass to full mount! Kersikov is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kersikov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Widenose lands a heavy elbow. Widenose prevents Kersikov from getting the reversal. Kersikov tries to lock up and control but Widenose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kersikov is squirming around, avoiding Widenose's attempts to control the action. Widenose has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Kersikov is forced to tap!
