Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norman Boma (ranked 79 p4p, 647 weight class) and Sparky Anderson (ranked 10 p4p, 86 weight class). Boma comes into the arena with Drowning Pool - Bodies blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Anderson's choice of entrance music: Pick up man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson forces Boma back against the cage and clinches.
Boma cracks Anderson with a nice body shot.
Boma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boma digs a right hand into Anderson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Anderson's gas tank.
Anderson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boma fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Anderson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Boma doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Boma connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anderson momentarily.

Boma throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Boma tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boma manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Anderson is trying to pull guard but Boma turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Anderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boma sprawls well initially but Anderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Norman Boma will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Boma cracks Anderson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Anderson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Boma finish him?

Anderson throws out a loose jab but Boma uses good head movement to avoid it.
As Anderson backs away, Boma returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Boma ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Anderson's jaw. Anderson's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Boma does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norman Boma!

In his post fight interview, Norman Boma started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
