Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideki Nakamura (ranked 1121 p4p, 1330 weight class) and Nero Hardy (ranked 153 p4p, 184 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hideki Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nero Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nakamura escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hardy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hardy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nakamura sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
