Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lindsay Apollo (ranked 217 p4p, 439 weight class) and Marcus Shakes (ranked 13 p4p, 29 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shakes's choice of entrance music: About the Money- T.I.. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lindsay Apollo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Shakes!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Apollo circles away.

Apollo stuns Shakes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Shakes shoots in for a takedown but Apollo shows good takedown defense.

Shakes darts in looking for a takedown but Apollo gets double underhooks and turns Shakes into the cage.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Shakes might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Apollo has got the better of the exchanges.

Shakes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apollo's waist but Apollo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shakes off to one side.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Shakes shoots in looking for a takedown. Apollo tries to sprawl out of it but Shakes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Apollo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Apollo lands a big head kick that sends Shakes to the canvas! Apollo follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Lindsay Apollo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
