The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird clinches up against the cage.

Bird jumps guard but Rocksaw turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Rocksaw breaks from the clinch.

and Bird counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bird.
Bird scores with a shot to the side of Rocksaw's head.

Bird works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Bird is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Rocksaw to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Bird goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rocksaw has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bird but great work by Rocksaw.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rocksaw connects with a nice short shot to Bird's temple.

Oh but Bird is tightening it up a little... Rocksaw has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rocksaw reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rocksaw taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bird!
