Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spider Monkey (ranked 339 p4p, 654 weight class) and George Pierre (ranked 43 p4p, 85 weight class). Pierre has chosen O Canada as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spider Monkey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre thuds a left hand into Monkey's body.
Pierre scores with a hook.
Pierre swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice uppercut there from Pierre.
Monkey throws a quick inside leg kick.
Monkey moves away from the strike by Pierre.
Jab from Pierre.
Pierre throws a hook to the side of Monkey's head but Monkey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Monkey throws an off balance right hand
and Pierre counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Monkey thinking.
Monkey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Monkey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Monkey scores with a kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Monkey. Pierre does a little dance to reset his feet.
Monkey takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Monkey connects with a leg kick.
Pierre takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Monkey ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd cheers as Pierre lands an impressive looking overhand right. Monkey doesn't seem phased though.
Pierre connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pierre lunges at Monkey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Monkey's hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Monkey throws an off balance right hand
and Monkey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A slow jab from Pierre misses its intended target.
Monkey digs a good body shot into Pierre's ribs.
Monkey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pierre. That did some damage!
Good shot there by Pierre.
A big right from Pierre misses.
Pierre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Monkey scores with a nice body kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Monkey!
Pierre looks winded!
The crowd cheers as Monkey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pierre doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like George Pierre has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Monkey connects with a crisp jab.
Pierre throws a combination that misses
and Monkey counters with a slapping leg kick.
Pierre might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Monkey's corner calls for a 1-2. Monkey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Monkey scores with a nice body kick.
Monkey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pierre swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Monkey counters with a right hand to the body.
Pierre takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pierre takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Pierre on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Pierre takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Monkey cracks Pierre with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Monkey has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pierre to stand back up!
Pierre is rocked!
That has opened up George Pierre's cut even more.
Pierre circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Monkey. Pierre falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Monkey!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Spider Monkey!
