Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Principo Adam (ranked 88 p4p, 202 weight class) and Jack Phillips (ranked 11 p4p, 27 weight class). Adam comes into the arena with Dona Eis Requiem blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Principo Adam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Phillips slips under a jab.
Adam with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Phillips to score with a decent uppercut.

Adam misses with a wild body shot.
Phillips flicks out a counter leg kick but Adam steps away.
Adam throws a body shot but no joy.
Phillips tries to work over Adam's front leg with a kick but Adam checks it.
Phillips walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Adam catches Phillips with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Phillips has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Adam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Phillips does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

It looks like Adam has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Adam throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Phillips tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Adam is in Phillips's guard.
