Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Draco Leonidas (ranked 699 p4p, 880 weight class) and Frankie Mir (ranked 57 p4p, 69 weight class). Frankie Mir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Draco Leonidas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie Mir!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas thuds his shin into the meat of Mir's side.
Leonidas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Leonidas misses with a low kick.
Leonidas looks to land a left hand but Mir moved out of range nicely.
Mir tries to counter with a clinch but Leonidas shakes him off and moves away.
Mir takes one to the chin there.
Leonidas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mir.
Leonidas tries to land a front kick but Mir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
As Leonidas backs off Mir throws a huge counter combo but Leonidas manages to avoid it all.

Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Leonidas sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mir looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Leonidas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mir has time to react.

Leonidas tries to land a front kick but Mir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Leonidas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mir momentarily.
Leonidas is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Leonidas keeps Mir at a distance using the push kick.
Leonidas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mir lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Mir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leonidas did well to prevent Mir getting side control.

Leonidas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mir keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leonidas's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mir throws a big right hand that misses.
Mir is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Leonidas is pulling down on Mir's head to control his posture.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Leonidas connects with a right hand. Mir shakes it off.
Leonidas throws a wild body kick that Mir sees coming a mile off.
Leonidas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mir can do to turn this around?

Mir bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Leonidas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leonidas keeps working.
The referee asks Mir politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mir prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mir postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Mir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leonidas is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mir, into his guard.

Leonidas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mir seems keen to control Leonidas's posture.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mir can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Leonidas controls the pace.

Frankie Mir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leonidas.
Mir shoots in looking for a takedown but Leonidas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Draco Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Mir.
Mir shoots in but no luck this time.
Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leonidas but Leonidas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Leonidas scores with a nice right hand.
Mir moves out of range as Leonidas throws a body kick.
Mir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leonidas tries to avoid it but Mir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leonidas to the ground. Leonidas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Leonidas's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mir under the eye.
Leonidas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mir was well out of range. Poor timing from Leonidas.
Mir will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Leonidas looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Mir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Leonidas connects with a single shot there.

Draco Leonidas is winning the standup battle so far.
Leonidas cracks Mir with a good jab.
Mir is still on wobbly legs! Can Leonidas finish him?
Frankie Mir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mir or perhaps it was just good defense by Leonidas, which made it look bad.
Mir shoots and misses
and Leonidas counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mir gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Leonidas points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Mir wakes up just in time to hear Leonidas thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Draco Leonidas really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Northern Zombie logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
