Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuuji Hoshino (ranked 411 p4p, 2336 weight class) and Slim Slow (ranked 28 p4p, 142 weight class). Yuuji Hoshino could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Slim Slow's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hoshino is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Slow.
Slow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hoshino eats them both and turns towards Slow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hoshino is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slow.

Hoshino quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Slow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hoshino throws a half hearted mid kick.
Slow has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hoshino is landing a low percentage of strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Slow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoshino.
As Slow backs away, Hoshino returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Slow is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Slow tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hoshino's elbow.

Hoshino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hoshino lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Slow has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Slow and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Slim Slow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slow tries to bum rush Hoshino with a series of wild strikes but Hoshino uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice defenses there by Hoshino.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoshino throws a quick counter kick to the body but Slow avoids it.
Hoshino lunges at Slow with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Slow's hand.

Hoshino fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Slow is still on wobbly legs! Can Hoshino finish him?
Slow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slow has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hoshino.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Slow tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hoshino counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Hoshino lands a leg kick that knocks Slow off balance momentarily.
Hoshino lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Slow - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Hoshino!
