Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ben Slam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronan Darongo!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darongo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slam.
Darongo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Darongo slips a straight right by Slam.
Darongo cracks Slam with an open hand slap.
Slam blocks a low kick nicely.
Darongo swings for the body but Slam moves out of range.
Slam takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Ben Slam has been cut.
A slow jab from Slam misses its intended target.
It seemed like Darongo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Slam connects with a jab.
It looks like Ronan Darongo has been cut.
Darongo moves out of range of the body kick from Slam.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Darongo! But no joy.
Slam uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Darongo.
Darongo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Darongo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Slam's head.
Slam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Darongo.
Slam misses with a hook. Darongo ducked under it nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Darongo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Slam.
Darongo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slam lands with a good body shot.
A low kick lands for Slam.
Darongo throws an off balance right hand
and Slam connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Slam takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Darongo looks for the body kick but Slam saw that one coming.
Slam lands a big right hand that sends Darongo crashing to the mat! Slam stays standing though and waves Darongo back to his feet!
Darongo is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Are you kidding me?! Slam ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Darongo clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Slam!
