The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misahawa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from DKasada.
Misahawa swings away with a body shot that misses

It looks like Kenichi Misahawa has been cut.
DKasada throws a body punch but Misahawa moves out of range.
Misahawa wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Misahawa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A countering left hand to the body from DKasada misses.

A nice side step and DKasada releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
DKasada's coach down at Cope's was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on DKasada's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Misahawa feints a jab promting DKasada to slip. Misahawa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. DKasada slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Misahawa throws a solid leg kick but DKasada takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Misahawa.

DKasada throws a series of punches but Misahawa avoids them all with ease.
Misahawa throws a body punch but DKasada moves out of range.
DKasada unleashes a big counter combination but Misahawa bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Misahawa lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Misahawa connects with an inside leg kick.
Kenichi Misahawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Misahawa throws a nice inside leg kick.
Misahawa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DKasada throws out a counter right but Misahawa avoids it with no problem.
DKasada sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Misahawa throws a right and a left that both miss.
DKasada thinks about the counter body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Misahawa throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling DKasada to counter with a crisp jab.
Misahawa swings away with a leg kick that misses.
DKasada on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Misahawa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

DKasada swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

DKasada drops Misahawa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Misahawa looks back up at him and smiles so DKasada waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

DKasada throws the left hand but Misahawa avoids the punch easily.

DKasada connects with a body shot that sends Misahawa's belly button to the back.
Misahawa cracks DKasada with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Misahawa throws a hook but DKasada avoids it easily.
As Misahawa backs off DKasada throws a huge counter combo but Misahawa manages to avoid it all.
Misahawa missing with a left hand there. DKasada was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Misahawa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from DKasada! But no joy.
Misahawa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

DKasada cracks Misahawa with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. DKasada has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Misahawa to stand back up!
Oh Misahawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Misahawa gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! DKasada gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

A relieved looking Komedor DKasada thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
