Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Pendragon (ranked 275 p4p, 394 weight class) and Nakachi Tadageru (ranked 24 p4p, 35 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Pendragon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nakachi Tadageru! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tadageru swings widly with a right hand
and Pendragon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tadageru fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pendragon sprawls well initially but Tadageru persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tadageru wants to pass the guard but Pendragon is defending well. Pendragon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tadageru. Tadageru slips a nice elbow through Pendragon's hands, connecting with Pendragon's forehead. Tadageru scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tadageru looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tadageru has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tadageru missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Tadageru throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pendragon to regain full guard. Tadageru landing some decent shots from guard. Tadageru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tadageru keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pendragon's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tadageru is in close to Pendragon's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tadageru missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tadageru looking to sit in guard and control but Pendragon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pendragon wants to stand but Tadageru is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tadageru is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tadageru working a defensive guard but Pendragon passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tadageru wants to improve his position but Pendragon is controlling well.
Tadageru slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tadageru looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pendragon puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Pendragon seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tadageru felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Tadageru wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pendragon in particular looking to stall. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tadageru tries to get to full guard but Pendragon has control of the leg. Tadageru is still trying to improve position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Tadageru wants to sweep but Pendragon has passed to side control! Pendragon in side control, just content to control the action for now. Pendragon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tadageru sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pendragon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tadageru tries to improve position but can't. Tadageru manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tadageru missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pendragon gets back to full guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nakachi Tadageru will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Tadageru wants to clinch up but Pendragon keeps it at a distance. Tadageru moves in looking to clinch but Pendragon pushes him off. Tadageru tries to clinch up. Tadageru tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pendragon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pendragon connects with a jab. Pendragon misses with an uppercut. Tadageru saw that one coming. Pendragon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Horrible takedown attempt by Tadageru or perhaps it was just good defense by Pendragon, which made it look bad. Pendragon throws a low kick, looking for Tadageru's leg but Tadageru calmly moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pendragon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Tadageru has Pendragon up against the cage in a clinch.
Tadageru is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Pendragon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tadageru cracks Pendragon with a nice body shot. Tadageru tries for a takedown. No joy.
Lewis Pendragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nakachi Tadageru. Pendragon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tadageru drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Pendragon defends it well. Lewis Pendragon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pendragon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tadageru tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pendragon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pendragon lands a nice looking body shot.
Tadageru loads up on a big right hand but Pendragon slips the punch. A little feinted left hand from Pendragon on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Tadageru closes the distance and clinches. Tadageru is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pendragon is defending well. Pendragon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tadageru has him pressed against the cage. Pendragon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tadageru backwards. Tadageru wants a takedown but no success here.
Tadageru is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pendragon pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tadageru changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pendragon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tadageru fails with the takedown and Pendragon counters with a head kick. That will keep Tadageru thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Tadageru tries to clinch but Pendragon is having none of it. Tadageru moves into range and clinches up with Pendragon.

Pendragon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tadageru drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tadageru connects with a nice short shot to Pendragon's temple. Tadageru takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Nakachi Tadageru will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Pendragon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tadageru looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A jab from Pendragon does it's job there. Lewis Pendragon is winning the standup battle so far. Pendragon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tadageru controls the pace. Tadageru lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tadageru wants to control from the top but Pendragon keeps moving. Tadageru scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tadageru is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Pendragon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tadageru is controlling him. Tadageru lands a couple of digs. Lewis Pendragon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tadageru trying to control the position from guard on top but Pendragon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Nakachi Tadageru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tadageru winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
