Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Picard (ranked 3663 p4p, 3330 weight class) and Lefty Lopez (ranked 420 p4p, 394 weight class). Picard comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - How I Could Just Kill A Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lefty Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez blocks a head kick by Picard.
Picard throws a head kick but Lopez moves out of range.
We've been told by Picard's head coaches at The Devil’s Playground that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Picard walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Picard throws a shot from downtown. Lopez moves away and avoids it.
Lopez lands with an overhand left.
Lopez throws a good cross that connects.
Picard scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lopez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lopez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lopez dips to his left and cracks Picard with an uppercut!
Lopez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lopez misses with a wild body shot.
Lopez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Picard throws a quick counter head kick but Lopez was just out of range.
Lopez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lopez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Picard under the eye.
Picard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lopez connects with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lopez misses with an uppercut. Picard saw that one coming.
Picard throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lopez.
Lopez throws a lazy body kick

and Picard counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Lopez!

Lopez is rocked!

Picard stands up and beckons Lopez to join him on the feet.
Lopez is still on wobbly legs! Can Picard finish him?
Lopez throws a leg kick
enabling Picard to counter with a crisp jab.
Picard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lopez misses with a double jab
and Picard counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Lopez has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
