Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dale Doback (ranked 1101 p4p, 954 weight class) and Akira Maeda (ranked 168 p4p, 147 weight class). Dale Doback has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dale Doback!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maeda is fighting to break Doback's control of his arms but Doback is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Maeda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Doback stuffs the takedown attempt from Maeda. Maeda gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice straight punches there by Doback. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Doback.

Maeda might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close round but I would say that Dale Doback will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Akira Maeda.
I think Maeda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
