Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Lee (ranked 1382 p4p, 1733 weight class) and Rocco Bermalingo (ranked 217 p4p, 285 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Raymond Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Rocco Bermalingo! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bermalingo looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range. Lee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bermalingo! Bermalingo explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Bermalingo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively. Lee slips a jab and a cross from Bermalingo.
Bermalingo throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bermalingo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bermalingo there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Bermalingo misses. Lee changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Lee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bermalingo is trying to stand.
Bermalingo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Lee is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bermalingo wants to get back to his feet. Lee content to control rather than advance. Lee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bermalingo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lee won't allow Bermalingo to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee working some strikes from top position. Bermalingo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lee is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee controls from within his opponent's guard. Lee is pushing down on Bermalingo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bermalingo is fighting to maintain full guard but Lee has managed to sneak the leg through. Nice strikes from Lee there. Lee is taking a breather. Bermalingo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bermalingo is trying to stand back up but Lee is controlling him
Lee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bermalingo wants to get back to his feet. Lee wants to free his trapped foot but Bermalingo is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bermalingo is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is figuring out what he wants to do next. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Bermalingo is trying to stand up here but Lee is controlling him well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bermalingo walks into a jab. Bermalingo throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Bermalingo throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bermalingo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bermalingo being controlled for a moment. Bermalingo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lee has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee staying calm. Bermalingo is pushing Lee's head away, looking to escape. Lee manages to hold on to the position though. Lee controls the position. Bermalingo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lee asserts his dominance and retains side control. Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bermalingo keeps working. Bermalingo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lee is controlling him well. Bermalingo is not content to let Lee control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bermalingo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee. A big right from Lee misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Raymond Lee will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Bermalingo misses with a two punch combination.

Bermalingo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Bermalingo is pushing Lee's head away, looking to escape. Lee manages to hold on to the position though. Raymond Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lee has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bermalingo! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bermalingo wants to try and get back to his feet. Lee content just to control the position here. Lee wants to control the pace but Bermalingo is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee controlling the pace for now. This is a sustained period of stalling by Lee. Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bermalingo is looking to escape. Bermalingo squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bermalingo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bermalingo wants to get back to his feet.

Bermalingo is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bermalingo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bermalingo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Raymond Lee dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lee appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Lee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Rocco Bermalingo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bermalingo misses with a double jab.
Bermalingo throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Bermalingo tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bermalingo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bermalingo is looking for the big counter here. Bermalingo looks to land a combination but Lee avoids it well. Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lee half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Bermalingo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. As Lee backs off Bermalingo throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all. A combination from Bermalingo does no damage. Bermalingo throws a body shot but no joy. Lee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lee tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Bermalingo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lee has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bermalingo has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Lee staying calm. Lee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bermalingo for as long as he can get away with. Lee prevents Bermalingo from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bermalingo is pushing Lee's head away, looking to escape. Lee manages to hold on to the position though. Lee is chipping away with strikes.
Lee wants to control but Bermalingo is keeping him busy. Lee is putting a hurting on Bermalingo here, landing some big shots from side control. Lee is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bermalingo's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bermalingo wants to get back to his feet. Lee is putting a hurting on Bermalingo here, landing some big shots from side control. Lee controls the position. Bermalingo is pushing Lee's head away, looking to escape. Lee manages to hold on to the position though. Lee working the body and head with strikes. Lee is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Lee's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bermalingo is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lee just content to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bermalingo is trying to get back to his feet. Lee cracks Bermalingo with a big right hand but Bermalingo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Lee trying to control the action but Bermalingo is working from the bottom. The referee asks Lee politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lee prefers to stall for the moment though. Further stalling from Lee. Bermalingo is trying to buck Lee off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rocco Bermalingo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bermalingo striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
And that's the end of the fight! Raymond Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
