Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Pauschi (ranked 2455 p4p, 3112 weight class) and Sergej Kusnemirpow (ranked 320 p4p, 374 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Pauschi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergej Kusnemirpow! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pauschi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kusnemirpow has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pauschi throws a head kick that misses. Kusnemirpow swats away the attempt to clinch by Pauschi. Kusnemirpow keeps the fight on the outside. Kusnemirpow misses with a takedown attempt letting Pauschi counter with a right hand. Kusnemirpow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kusnemirpow wants to take a breather but Pauschi is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pauschi is trying to control but can't.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pauschi defends it well. Pauschi's coaches at Bronk´s GYM have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Pauschi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pauschi keeping control of the position. Pauschi gets full guard. Possibly, maybe, no Kusnemirpow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kusnemirpow is looking to take a break and control but Pauschi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kusnemirpow swings around for an armbar but Pauschi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kusnemirpow's guard. Kusnemirpow preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sergej Kusnemirpow is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kusnemirpow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pauschi is controlling him. Pauschi wants to control from the top but Kusnemirpow keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Pauschi. I think Kusnemirpow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
