Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Ignatiev (ranked 1357 p4p, 1635 weight class) and Kazuki Takeda (ranked 161 p4p, 187 weight class). Ignatiev comes to the cage accompanied by Beats That. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolai Ignatiev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazuki Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda looks to clinch
letting Ignatiev counter with a right hand.
Ignatiev throws a body punch but Takeda moves out of range.
Ignatiev throws a jab when Takeda was well out of range.
Takeda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ignatiev pinned against the cage. Ignatiev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Takeda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ignatiev.

Takeda drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ignatiev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ignatiev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Takeda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ignatiev controlling from the top position.

Takeda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ignatiev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ignatiev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ignatiev is posturing up here but Takeda has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ignatiev tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ignatiev has to tap! Slick submission there by Takeda!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kazuki Takeda!
A less than humble Kazuki Takeda misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
