Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Cobain (ranked 30 p4p, 107 weight class) and Maximus Furioto (ranked 5 p4p, 15 weight class). Cobain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Smells Like Teen Spirit. Furioto has chosen 韻踏合組合 - as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Cobain!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Furioto is defended easily by Cobain.
A counter left hand to the body from Cobain misses its target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Furioto or perhaps it was just good defense by Cobain, which made it look bad.
As Furioto backs away, Cobain returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
No luck for Furioto with that takedown attempt.
A quick step to the side and Cobain tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kurt Cobain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Furioto.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maximus Furioto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Furioto shoots in looking for a takedown. Cobain tries to sprawl out of it but Furioto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cobain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Furioto shoots in looking for a takedown but Cobain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Furioto's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Furioto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cobain tries to avoid it but Furioto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cobain to the ground. Cobain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

and Cobain counters with a nice right hand that sends Furioto toppling to the canvas! Furioto scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cobain finish him?!

Furioto is rocked!

Maximus Furioto's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Maximus Furioto's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kurt Cobain!
Kurt Cobain retains his lightweight title!
After winning the bout, Kurt Cobain thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Maximus Furioto was interviewed post fight and said 'oohhh!nooooo!'.
