Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarkko Ahola!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahola bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ahola bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vargas's head backwards.
Ahola keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ahola throws a predictable looking body shot
and Vargas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A shot to the body from Ahola misses
letting Vargas counter with a right hand.
It looks like Jarkko Ahola has been cut.
Vargas just misses with a punch to the body.
Ahola lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vargas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ahola manages to avoid it.
Ahola tries to counter by closing the distance.
Ahola misses the jab.
Vargas slips a straight right by Ahola.
Vargas throws a body shot but no joy.
Ahola swings for the body but Vargas moves out of range.
Ahola punishes Vargas's body with a nice straight punch.

Ahola takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Vargas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ahola.
Ahola with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vargas to score with a decent uppercut.
Ahola misses with an uppercut.
Ahola bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ahola throws the left hand but Vargas avoids the punch easily.
Ahola lands a nice looking body shot.
Vargas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ahola looks to land a right hand but Vargas moved out of range.
Vargas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've been informed that Ahola has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Ahola throws a lazy right hand but Vargas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vargas lands a big right hand that sends Ahola crashing to the mat! Vargas stays standing though and waves Ahola back to his feet!
Jarkko Ahola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A little feinted left hand from Vargas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ahola connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vargas momentarily.
Vargas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ahola misses with a straight left.
Ahola throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vargas closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Ahola out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
