The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philippe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Potku checks it well.
Potku let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Potku steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Philippe.
Potku decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Potku is taking a breather. Philippe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Potku trying to mount his opponent but Philippe defends it.
Potku is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Philippe has managed to free his arm - good work.
Potku is looking for submissions but instead, Philippe has regained full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potku pushes a forearm under Philippe's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Philippe is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
