Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Svalbard Haudegen (ranked 589 p4p, 325 weight class) and Gunnar Bloodaxe (ranked 88 p4p, 47 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Svalbard Haudegen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Bloodaxe! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Bloodaxe misses the target. Haudegen slips under a jab from Bloodaxe. Haudegen looks to score with a jab to the body but Bloodaxe is just out of range. Bloodaxe scores with a jab to the jaw. Haudegen on the wrong end of a nice hook. Haudegen blocks a leg kick. Bloodaxe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Haudegen throws a hook to the side of Bloodaxe's head but Bloodaxe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Haudegen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bloodaxe. Jab from Bloodaxe. Gunnar Bloodaxe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haudegen feinted with a counter takedown. Bloodaxe drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bloodaxe throws a low kick but it's checked well by Haudegen. Bloodaxe catches Haudegen with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

We've been hearing reports that Haudegen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.  That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bloodaxe regains half guard. Bloodaxe manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Haudegen prevents Bloodaxe from getting back to his feet. Haudegen is fighting to break Bloodaxe's control of his arms but Bloodaxe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bloodaxe being controlled here, momentarily. Bloodaxe keeping moving, preventing Haudegen from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Haudegen throws a series of punches but Bloodaxe moves out of range. Bloodaxe missing with a left hand there. Haudegen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Bloodaxe gets caught flat footed, as Haudegen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bloodaxe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Haudegen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Haudegen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Haudegen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Gunnar Bloodaxe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Haudegen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Haudegen misses with a wild body shot. Bloodaxe throws a body shot but no joy. Bloodaxe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Haudegen.
