Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Le Franc (ranked 19 p4p, 45 weight class) and Dakota Thibodeaux Jr. (ranked 3 p4p, 7 weight class). Le Franc comes to the cage accompanied by [I Can't Get No] Satisfaction. Thibodeaux Jr. has chosen Rags2Riches as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dakota Thibodeaux Jr.!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Le Franc coming out on top.
Le Franc works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Guy Le Franc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Le Franc throws out a loose jab but Thibodeaux Jr. uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thibodeaux Jr. now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Le Franc ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thibodeaux Jr. moves away.
Despite the aggression on Thibodeaux Jr.'s face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Le Franc misses with a left hand
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a straight right hand.

Le Franc has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Le Franc throws a good cross that connects.

and Thibodeaux Jr. cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Le Franc connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thibodeaux Jr.'s hands.

and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Guy Le Franc has been cut.

Thibodeaux Jr. takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Thibodeaux Jr. swings for the body but Le Franc moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thibodeaux Jr.. Le Franc does a little dance to reset his feet.

Thibodeaux Jr. lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Thibodeaux Jr. cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thibodeaux Jr. uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Le Franc.
A nice side step and Thibodeaux Jr. releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Le Franc throws a jab when Thibodeaux Jr. was well out of range.
A little jabbing left from Thibodeaux Jr. on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Le Franc misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Thibodeaux Jr. steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Le Franc.

and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Le Franc lands a really nice looking cross but Thibodeaux Jr. seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Le Franc cracks Thibodeaux Jr. with a right hand to the side of the head.
Le Franc lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Le Franc stalks Thibodeaux Jr. and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thibodeaux Jr.'s face. Thibodeaux Jr. staggers backwards, shaken.
Le Franc tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thibodeaux Jr. swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thibodeaux Jr. has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Le Franc throws an off balance right hand
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a stiff right hand.
Le Franc lands with a hook. Thibodeaux Jr. tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Le Franc misses with a lunging right hand
and Thibodeaux Jr. cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thibodeaux Jr.'s hands are dropping dangerously low here and Le Franc connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thibodeaux Jr. scrambles back to his feet.
Thibodeaux Jr. is rocked!
Le Franc cracks Thibodeaux Jr. with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Thibodeaux Jr. tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Le Franc pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Thibodeaux Jr. is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guy Le Franc!
Guy Le Franc retains his light heavyweight title!
