Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Handerson (ranked 280 p4p, 908 weight class) and Ryu Inhanamoto (ranked 42 p4p, 108 weight class). Handerson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is America - A Horse With No Name. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Handerson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryu Inhanamoto! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handerson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Handerson scores with a nice right hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Handerson. Handerson dives in and grabs Inhanamoto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Inhanamoto pushes down on Handerson's head and hops out. Inhanamoto throws a hook but Handerson blocks it. Handerson tries to counter with a takedown but Inhanamoto is quick to defend against it. Inhanamoto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Handerson finds it's way round the side to connect with Inhanamoto's head. The fighters circle momentarily. Inhanamoto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Inhanamoto misses the jab. Inhanamoto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Inhanamoto might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
