Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Werewolf Night (ranked 321 p4p, 735 weight class) and Phol Hunt (ranked 19 p4p, 45 weight class). Night comes to the cage accompanied by Mother- Danzig. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Werewolf Night! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Phol Hunt! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Night takes one on the button.
It looks like Werewolf Night has been cut. Night definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hunt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hunt is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Night with a body shot. Hunt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Night. Hunt clobbers Night with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Night throws an off balance right hand
enabling Hunt to counter with a crisp jab. Night throws a jab when Hunt was well out of range. Hunt scores with a nice strike. Hunt blocks a jab. Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Night manages to avoid it. Werewolf Night seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunt connects with the punch. Hunt tries to clinch up. A quick step to the side and Night tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Hunt ducks right into an uppercut from Night. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big left from Night misses. Hunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Night waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hunt. Hunt throws the left hand but Night avoids the punch easily. It looked like Night wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Hunt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Night takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hunt misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Night throws a shot from downtown. Hunt moves away and avoids it. Night swinging wildly here.

and Hunt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hunt lunges at Night with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Night's hand. Night lands with a hook. and Night takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice defenses there by Hunt. Decent striking displayed by Hunt there. Hunt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt ducks under a wild hook from Night. Hunt throws out a counter right but Night avoids it with no problem. Night keeps the fight on the outside. Hunt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hunt scores with a body shot.
Hunt stuns Night with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Night scores with a nice head shot. Hunt connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hunt has managed to clinch.
Hunt tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Night's elbow. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hunt misses with a hook from the clinch. Night tries to break free but Hunt pushes him back against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Hunt.
Werewolf Night's cut is getting worse. Night wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hunt fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Night has had enough of the clinch but Hunt keeps him there for the moment. Hunt stalling.

Hunt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right from Hunt on the inside. A right hook to the body lands for Hunt.
Night is looking to break free of the clinch but Hunt has double underhooks.

Hunt ducks under a wild hook from Night. Hunt works the jab nicely. Hunt misses with a hook. Nice straight punches there by Hunt. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hunt. Hunt lands a head shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hunt defending well as Night loads up on a big left hand. Hunt throws a good cross that connects.
Night lands a really nice looking cross but Hunt seems unphased.
Hunt ducks under a wild hook from Night. Night takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hunt looks to land a right hand but Night moved out of range. Night pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hunt has Night up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Night wants to break free but Hunt has control.
Hunt keeps control of Night as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hunt lands a left hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Phol Hunt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Werewolf Night's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Hunt cracks Night with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Night is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hunt. Hunt looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hunt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Night. Night scores with the left hand. Hunt knows he should have avoided that one. Night throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Phol Hunt seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Werewolf Night's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Hunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Night swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hunt connects with a single shot there. Night's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hunt under the eye. Hunt has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Night throws a lazy right hand but Hunt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Night gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Night is rocked! Night looks to land a right hand but Hunt moved out of range. Oh Night is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hunt lands a jab to Night's midsection. Hunt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Night manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hunt scores with a sloppy right hand. Night should have avoided that one.
Jeez, Werewolf Night's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Hunt misses with a looping right. A looping hook to the body misses from Hunt. Night does a little dance to reset his feet. Night slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Night has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hunt finds it's way round the side to connect with Night's head. Hunt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Night stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hunt scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Night bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hunt ducks under a wild hook from Night. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Night ducks under a wild hook from Hunt. Night gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Hunt closes the distance and clinches. Hunt misses with a punch on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunt effectively controlling the action here. Hunt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Phol Hunt decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
