With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tomoguchi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Tomoguchi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tomoguchi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piercer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Tomoguchi quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Piercer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tomoguchi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

In his post fight interview, Shinji Tomoguchi started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
