Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seamus O Brien (ranked 362 p4p, 700 weight class) and Adrian Rose (ranked 46 p4p, 90 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think O Brien might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose misses with an attempted mid kick.

Rose moves into range and clinches up with O Brien.
Rose goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
O Brien struggles to land a body shot inside as Rose controls his hands.

It looks like Adrian Rose has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has O Brien pinned against the cage. O Brien gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rose fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt O Brien.

Rose shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as O Brien sprawls well. O Brien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rose gets slowly back to his feet.

O Brien seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
O Brien bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rose's guard.

Rose wants to sweep but no luck.

Rose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

O Brien wants to control but Rose is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rose looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks O Brien with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rose closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rose perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rose has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rose wants to pass to mount but O Brien is defending the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Rose has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
