Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Gage (ranked 159 p4p, 151 weight class) and Anthony Ochoa (ranked 25 p4p, 24 weight class). Ochoa has chosen Gang Signs by The Game as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ochoa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gage swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gage takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ochoa takes a body punch but keeps moving. A jab from Gage misses. Gage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ochoa circles away. Ochoa only half commits to the counter leg kick. Gage has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ochoa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ochoa thinks about the counter body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ochoa misses with a right hand and Gage counters with a straight right hand. Ochoa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ochoa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. As Gage backs off Ochoa throws a huge counter combo but Gage manages to avoid it all.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gage throws an overhand right that lands on Ochoa's shoulder, as Ochoa tries to avoid the shot. Ochoa tries to land a front kick but Gage steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ochoa throws a hook but Gage avoids it easily. Gage is looking to counter punch. Gage jabs Ochoa right on the nose. Ochoa blinks but takes it well. Ochoa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Anthony Ochoa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice cross by Gage. Ochoa scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Oscar Gage has been cut. Gage throws a lazy uppercut
and Ochoa counters with a solid body kick. Gage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ochoa throws out the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa misses with a kick to the body and Gage counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ochoa is looking for a sweep. Gage wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ochoa, who protects the arm well. Gage fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Gage is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ochoa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Gage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ochoa defending against the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The strikes coming from Gage are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ochoa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gage is looking to take a break and control but Ochoa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gage misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Gage tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ochoa tries to improve position but can't. Sloppy strikes there by Gage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gage tries for a kimura but Ochoa is defending well. Gage goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ochoa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gage's guard! Nice work there by Ochoa! Gage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ochoa is aware though and is defending well. Gage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gage is looking for a triangle but Ochoa pushes his legs off easily.
Gage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gage is really struggling to control Ochoa but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Gage dominated that round. The cut man is working on Oscar Gage's cut. That's time! Gage's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Jab, jab by Gage - just one landing. Gage shoots in and gets a takedown into Ochoa's guard. Ochoa keeping full guard, as Gage tries to pass. Gage postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gage in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gage tries to free his leg and advance position but Ochoa is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gage slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Gage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gage is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ochoa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ochoa has escaped and now he's on top! Gage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ochoa's guard. Ochoa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gage is one step ahead there. Gage trying to control the position from guard on top but Ochoa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gage is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa keeping full guard, as Gage tries to pass. Oscar Gage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gage engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ochoa keeping full guard, as Gage tries to pass. Ochoa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gage throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ochoa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gage looking to sit in guard and control but Ochoa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gage looking to control.
Gage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gage looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gage has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ochoa doesn't defend quickly enough and Gage has managed to lock this one up! Can Ochoa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gage on a fantastic submission victory.
