Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kiryu Kazuma (ranked 242 p4p, 502 weight class) and Leon Smith (ranked 32 p4p, 66 weight class). Kazuma comes to the cage accompanied by Uroko by Dir En Grey. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kiryu Kazuma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Leon Smith!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Smith lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Smith's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kazuma under the eye.
Smith works Kazuma's body with a nice hook.
Kazuma throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kazuma takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kazuma swings widly with a right hand
and Smith counters with a good low kick that Kazuma was not able to check.
Kazuma tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Kazuma.
Kazuma scores with a jab. Smith acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've been told by Kazuma's head coaches at Iron Wolf Private Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kazuma throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kazuma fakes the body blow, causing Smith to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Smith goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kiryu Kazuma!
After the fight, Kiryu Kazuma was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
