The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Lawson.
Tsuru gets a clinch.
Tsuru pushes Lawson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short uppercut from Lawson.
Lawson lands an uppercut.
Tsuru gets through Lawson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lawson swings wildly with an uppercut but Tsuru uses good head movement to avoid it.
Still in the clinch, Lawson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Tsuru misses with a hook from the clinch.
I was talking to Tsuru's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Lawson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tsuru backwards.
Lawson has a couple of punches blocked by Tsuru.
Lawson breaks from the clinch.
Tsuru closes the distance and pushes Lawson back into the cage.

Tsuru wants to clinch up but Lawson keeps it at a distance.

Tsuru is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lawson is keeping busy.

Tsuru is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Tsuru scores with a shoulder strike.
Tsuru tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lawson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tsuru wants to clinch up but Lawson keeps it at a distance.

Lawson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tsuru moves away from the strike by Lawson.
BOOM! Lawson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Tsuru. Tsuru tries to recover but Lawson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Tsuru lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
