The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyoraku displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kortenhorst.
Kyoraku misses with the combination.
Kortenhorst shoots in looking for a takedown. Kyoraku tries to sprawl out of it but Kortenhorst keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kyoraku manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyoraku catches Kortenhorst with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Michiel Kortenhorst has been cut.
Kortenhorst shoots in looking for a takedown. Kyoraku tries to sprawl out of it but Kortenhorst keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kyoraku manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shunsui Kyoraku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michiel Kortenhorst.
Kyoraku lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kortenhorst misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kortenhorst scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kortenhorst looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kortenhorst is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kyoraku doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kortenhorst.
Kyoraku is refusing to be controlled, as Kortenhorst sits in half guard.

Kyoraku is trying to stand.
Kortenhorst seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kyoraku does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kyoraku knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kortenhorst on the ground.

Kortenhorst is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kortenhorst is trying for a kimura here. Kyoraku looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kortenhorst wins by kimura!
