Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Parker (ranked 1293 p4p, 826 weight class) and Jack Phillips (ranked 54 p4p, 39 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jack Phillips was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker misses with a head kick.
Parker walks into a straight right hand from Phillips.

Phillips has managed to clinch.
Parker blocks an uppercut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Phillips has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Phillips throws a head punch that misses.
Phillips lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Phillips blocks a body shot from Parker.
Phillips has a couple of punches blocked by Parker.

Phillips manages to break the clinch.
Phillips looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parker looks to throw the jab but Phillips is out of range.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parker lands with a hook. Phillips tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A telegraphed right hand from Parker misses the target.

Parker drives through and clinches with Phillips against the cage.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phillips looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phillips.
Parker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phillips was well out of range. Poor timing from Parker.
Phillips tries to clinch but Parker moves out of range.
Parker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Phillips on the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parker throws a lazy head kick
and Phillips counters with a nice uppercut.
Parker misses with a double jab.
Phillips throws a hook to the side of Parker's head but Parker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Parker clinches.
Phillips wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Parker has him pressed against the cage.
Phillips tries to circle away but Parker has him pinned against the cage.
Parker blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Phillips breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Phillips has Parker up against the cage in a clinch.

Parker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed right hand from Phillips misses the target.
Parker misses with a body shot.
Phillips throws a head kick that misses.
Parker misses with a wild body shot.
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick and Phillips moves out of range easily.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Phillips, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phillips.
Parker works Phillips's body with a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Parker moves away from the strike by Phillips.
Parker looks to land a combination. Phillips sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Phillips looks to land a right hand but Parker moved out of range.
A head kick misses from Phillips.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Parker.
Phillips pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A slow jab from Phillips misses its intended target.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phillips.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parker connects with a high kick.
Phillips looks to score with a jab to the body but Parker is just out of range.
Parker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Parker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jacob Parker showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Parker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jacob Parker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
