Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tsuyoi Kakuto (ranked 2555 p4p, 2403 weight class) and Kiso Akinaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakuto's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gorillaz-Dirty Harry. Akinaga comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The HU - Wolf Totem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Akinaga has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tsuyoi Kakuto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kiso Akinaga! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akinaga looks to throw the jab but Kakuto is out of range. Kakuto drives through with a takedown into guard. Kakuto sitting in guard here, content to control. We've been hearing good reports from Kakuto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Kakuto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kakuto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kakuto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kakuto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kakuto tries to free his leg and advance position but Akinaga is retaining full guard. Kakuto is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kakuto takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kakuto darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kakuto performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kakuto is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Akinaga sees it coming and defends easily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Akinaga can do anything to dispel that myth. Kakuto looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kakuto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kakuto stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kakuto is working for a submission of some sort.
Akinaga is trying to control Kakuto's posture. Kakuto takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Akinaga! Kakuto is rotating here... this could be the end... Akinaga is out! Kakuto has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
