Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Diddy (ranked 2483 p4p, 4683 weight class) and Royce Schmidt (ranked 328 p4p, 0 weight class). Diddy comes to the cage accompanied by lvl99ROIDMAGE. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Diddy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Royce Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Francis DeMontford and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diddy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schmidt sprawls well. Schmidt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diddy gets slowly back to his feet.
Diddy dives in for a single leg takedown but Schmidt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Schmidt scores with a shoulder strike.
A shot in the inside from Schmidt.
Diddy jumps guard and drags Schmidt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Schmidt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Diddy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Schmidt passes Diddy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diddy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schmidt is working away from the top position though.
Diddy has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Schmidt. Oh but Diddy has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Schmidt goes limp - he's gone! Diddy jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
