Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Taneyev (ranked 246 p4p, 631 weight class) and Baldur Torsten (ranked 39 p4p, 97 weight class). Taneyev comes to the cage accompanied by Demolisher - Slaughter to Prevail. Torsten has chosen Temple of Odin as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Valentin Taneyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Baldur Torsten!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torsten avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taneyev throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Baldur Torsten has been cut.
Taneyev throws a right and a left that both miss.
Taneyev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Torsten takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Taneyev lands a glancing blow to the side of Torsten's head.
Torsten takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A chopping leg kick lands by Taneyev.
Taneyev closes the distance and clinches.
Torsten struggles to land a body shot inside as Taneyev controls his hands.
Torsten throws a punch but it's blocked by Taneyev.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Taneyev just misses with a elbow thrown towards Torsten's brow.
We've been informed that Torsten has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Taneyev lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Torsten backwards.

Torsten tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Torsten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Taneyev throws a looping overhand right but Torsten ducks down to avoid it.

Torsten fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Taneyev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Taneyev takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Torsten uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taneyev.

Torsten lands a nice looking body shot.
Torsten connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Taneyev's hands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Taneyev walks into a left hand.
Taneyev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Torsten counters with a nice right hand that sends Taneyev toppling to the canvas! Taneyev scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Torsten finish him?!
Taneyev is rocked!
Taneyev finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Torsten has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Torsten there as he acknowledges the shot.
That has opened up Baldur Torsten's cut even more.
Torsten misses with a wild body shot.
Taneyev throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Torsten counters with a nice body shot.
Valentin Taneyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Taneyev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A little jabbing left from Torsten on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Baldur Torsten will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Baldur Torsten's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Torsten lands with an overhand left.
Taneyev misses with an uppercut.
Taneyev throws a leg kick that is checked
and Torsten counters with a stiff right hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Taneyev.
Nice straight punches there by Taneyev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taneyev.
Taneyev lands an overhand right.
Taneyev lands a jab to Torsten's midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torsten looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Taneyev explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Torsten lands with a thumping leg kick.

Baldur Torsten is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Taneyev throws a quick counter head kick but Torsten was just out of range.
Torsten displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taneyev throws out the jab.
Taneyev fails with the takedown
and Torsten counters with a crisp right hand that drops Taneyev! Torsten lets Taneyev back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Taneyev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Taneyev throws a jab when Torsten was well out of range.
Taneyev seems to have got his legs back now.
Torsten feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Taneyev sprawling to the canvas! Taneyev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Torsten finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Torsten on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Torsten throws a front kick that sends Taneyev stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Taneyev misses with a left hand
and Torsten makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Torsten has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Torsten rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Torsten takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Taneyev misses with an uppercut
and Torsten counters with a straight right hand.
Taneyev looks to score with a jab to the body but Torsten is just out of range.

Taneyev throws a hook but Torsten blocks it.
Torsten tries a quick counter leg kick but Taneyev is wise to it.
Torsten steps in with a hook that catches Taneyev right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Torsten follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Taneyev looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Baldur Torsten!
A very excited looking Baldur Torsten made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Valentin Taneyev spoke after the fight, saying 'This is Number one Bullshit'.
