Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joad Cressbeckler (ranked 233 p4p, 464 weight class) and HayZeus Hiddens (ranked 29 p4p, 60 weight class). Cressbeckler comes to the cage accompanied by American Remains. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joad Cressbeckler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, HayZeus Hiddens!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from Hiddens, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hiddens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cressbeckler fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hiddens just manages to avoid it.
Cressbeckler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hiddens.
Hiddens throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hiddens throws a solid leg kick but Cressbeckler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hiddens.

Cressbeckler gets caught napping as Hiddens dives in and scores a takedown. Cressbeckler manages to retain guard.
Cressbeckler wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hiddens manages to pass to side control.

Cressbeckler tries to roll over but Hiddens keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hiddens thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cressbeckler's head.
Hiddens looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hiddens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cressbeckler is controlling Hiddens's trapped leg to prevent Hiddens from advancing to side control.

Cressbeckler is looking to improve his position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Hiddens throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Cressbeckler takes one to the chin there.
Cressbeckler slips a jab from Hiddens.

and Hiddens counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cressbeckler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hiddens postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
HayZeus Hiddens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hiddens changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hiddens feints and then cracks Cressbeckler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cressbeckler down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hiddens takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cressbeckler throws a hook but Hiddens blocks it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

HayZeus Hiddens dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hiddens misses with a body shot.
Cressbeckler keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hiddens fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cressbeckler on the side of the head.
Hiddens shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hiddens punishes Cressbeckler's body with a nice straight punch.
Cressbeckler avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A little feinted left hand from Cressbeckler on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hiddens is looking to slow Cressbeckler down with leg kicks.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cressbeckler checks a leg kick.

Cressbeckler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hiddens misses with a takedown attempt
and Cressbeckler counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hiddens thinking.
Cressbeckler defending well as Hiddens loads up on a big left hand.
Hiddens drops his hands momentarily and Cressbeckler takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like HayZeus Hiddens has been cut.
Hiddens misses with a takedown attempt
and Cressbeckler counters with a straight right hand.
Cressbeckler throws a leg kick but Hiddens sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cressbeckler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cressbeckler there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hiddens has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cressbeckler ducks right into an uppercut from Hiddens.
A bone on bone clash there as Cressbeckler blocks the leg kick.

Cressbeckler cracks Hiddens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cressbeckler tries a head kick but it misses.
Hiddens misses with a straight left.
Cressbeckler stuffs the takedown attempt from Hiddens. Hiddens gets slowly back to his feet.

Joad Cressbeckler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of HayZeus Hiddens.

Cressbeckler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hiddens lands with a hook. Cressbeckler tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hiddens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cressbeckler quickly recovers to half guard.
Cressbeckler is trying to maintain the position but Hiddens is very close to passing his half guard.
Cressbeckler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hiddens looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hiddens throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hiddens lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hiddens seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Cressbeckler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hiddens on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hiddens misses with a low kick.
It looked like Cressbeckler was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hiddens.
Hiddens misses with a looping right.
Cressbeckler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cressbeckler throws a big counter combination but Hiddens scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but HayZeus Hiddens will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Cressbeckler gets cracked there but stands up to it.
HayZeus Hiddens seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Hiddens is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cressbeckler's half guard.

Hiddens wants to take a breather but Cressbeckler is having none of it.

It looks like Joad Cressbeckler has been cut.
Hiddens lands with some strikes.

Hiddens is nestled in close to Cressbeckler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Joad Cressbeckler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hiddens winds up and cracks Cressbeckler with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hiddens thows a huge punch but Cressbeckler dodges it nicely.

Cressbeckler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hiddens pulls his head out easily.
Hiddens wants to control but Cressbeckler is keeping him busy.

Hiddens is looking to work some ground and pound but Cressbeckler has wrist control.

Hiddens uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cressbeckler.
Cressbeckler throws a jab but it's blocked by Hiddens.
Hiddens ducks under a wild hook from Cressbeckler.

Hiddens with a lazy takedown attempt
and Cressbeckler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hiddens connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hiddens paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hiddens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hiddens looks to throw the jab but Cressbeckler is out of range.
Hiddens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cressbeckler manages to avoid it.
Cressbeckler fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hiddens checks it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cressbeckler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hiddens keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
HayZeus Hiddens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hiddens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

HayZeus Hiddens spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
