Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lou Leonard (ranked 916 p4p, 1837 weight class) and Joe Diddy (ranked 122 p4p, 235 weight class). Diddy has chosen lvl99ROIDMAGE as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Lou Leonard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Diddy! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diddy clinches. A short right from Leonard on the inside. Diddy jumps guard but Leonard stands there with Diddy around his waist. Diddy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Leonard misses with a punch on the inside.
Diddy goes for a takedown attempt but Leonard pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Diddy or perhaps it was just good defense by Leonard, which made it look bad. Lou Leonard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Diddy. Leonard stuffs the takedown. Leonard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leonard wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Leonard wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Diddy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leonard, pushing him back against the cage. Leonard gets underhooks to prevent Diddy's takedown attempt.
A short uppercut from Leonard. Diddy takes a shot to the head. Leonard is pressed up against the cage. Diddy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leonard down to the mat. Leonard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Leonard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Diddy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leonard's waist but Leonard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diddy off to one side. Diddy fails with the takedown and Leonard counters with a straight right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diddy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diddy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Leonard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diddy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Diddy throws a lazy uppercut
and Leonard counters with a lovely straight right hand! Diddy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diddy swats away the attempt to clinch by Leonard. Diddy tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Leonard connects with a nice looking jab.
Leonard is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Diddy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonard was well out of range. Poor timing from Diddy. Leonard cracks Diddy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Leonard sizes up Diddy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Diddy throws a looping overhand right but Leonard ducks down to avoid it. Leonard tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Diddy manages to circle out of the way. Joe Diddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diddy throws a body shot but no joy. Leonard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Diddy. Leonard tries to counter by clinching up but Diddy breaks away and moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diddy instigates a clinch. Diddy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Leonard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Leonard is pressed up against the cage. Diddy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Leonard down to the mat. Leonard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Diddy just misses with a punch to the body.
Diddy throws a big shot that misses. Diddy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leonard moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Diddy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Leonard manages to avoid it. Diddy gets a takedown into half guard. Leonard tries to kick Diddy off but Diddy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Diddy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Leonard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diddy on the ground. Diddy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Diddy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leonard keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diddy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Leonard prevents Diddy from taking his back. Diddy scoring with strikes but Leonard is staying in there. Diddy looking to isolate an arm here. Leonard doesn't see it coming and as Diddy extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Diddy!
