Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Storm (ranked 88 p4p, 86 weight class) and Maximus Furioto (ranked 10 p4p, 9 weight class). Furioto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 韻踏合組合 - . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 44 - 20 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lincoln Storm! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm throws a hook but Furioto avoids it easily. It seemed like Furioto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Storm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Furioto. Storm throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Furioto throws out a counter right but Storm avoids it with no problem. Furioto fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Furioto walks into a straight right hand from Storm. Storm throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Furioto moves forwards but Storm connects with a nice, crisp jab. Storm digs a good body shot into Furioto's ribs. Furioto avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little jabbing left from Furioto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Storm throws an overhand right that lands on Furioto's shoulder, as Furioto tries to avoid the shot. Furioto looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Storm has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight. Lincoln Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Storm thuds a left hand into Furioto's body. Furioto fails with the takedown. Lincoln Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Furioto. Storm with a nice calf kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Storm misses with a straight right. Storm rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Furioto counters with a nice uppercut. Storm takes a swing at Furioto's ribcage but misses. A little jabbing left from Furioto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Storm is looking to slow Furioto down with leg kicks. Storm defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Furioto. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Storm waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Furioto. Furioto walks into a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm scores with a jab. Furioto fails with the takedown and Storm makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Storm fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Furioto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Storm lands a right hook to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Storm. A looping hook to the body misses from Storm. Furioto does a little dance to reset his feet. Furioto unleashes a big counter combination but Storm bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. A left lands for Storm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Storm. Those never looked like landing. Furioto looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Storm connects with a right hand. Furioto shakes it off. Storm misses with an uppercut. Furioto is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Furioto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Storm looks to score with a jab to the body but Furioto is just out of range. Storm finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Lincoln Storm dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Furioto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Furioto with a lazy takedown attempt and Storm counters with a good low kick that Furioto was not able to check. Storm lands a leg kick that knocks Furioto off balance momentarily. Storm lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Storm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Furioto was well out of range. Poor timing from Storm. Furioto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm wants to control but Furioto is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Furioto is trying to work for a kimura but Storm is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Furioto thows a huge punch but Storm dodges it nicely.
Furioto wants to work for an arm triangle but Storm is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Storm works his way to full guard. Good work. Storm tries to land a sweep but no joy. Storm utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Storm is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Good leg kick by Storm. Storm lands a jab to Furioto's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm lands with a thumping leg kick.
Storm throws a hook to the side of Furioto's head but Furioto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Furioto! But no joy. Storm dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Storm throws a lazy right hand but Furioto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Furioto has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Furioto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lincoln Storm is winning the standup battle so far. Furioto misses with a takedown enabling Storm to counter with a crisp jab. Lincoln Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Furioto. Storm misses with an uppercut. Furioto saw that one coming. Storm backing away here, and Furioto unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Storm throws a low kick but it's checked well by Furioto. Furioto needs to keep his hands up - Storm had a free shot at his head there. Storm is really dominating this fight. But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Furioto, into his guard. Storm throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Furioto is working an open guard so Storm takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Furioto moves out of range of the strikes. Furioto only half commits to the counter leg kick. A low kick lands for Storm.

Furioto has gone for a leg lock! Storm slips out almost immediately though and dives into Furioto's guard. Storm trying to control the position from guard on top but Furioto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Furioto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Furioto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Storm. Nice straight punches there by Storm. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Storm. Storm lands with an overhand left. Furioto's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Furioto is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Storm can't fight it off and eventually Furioto manages to take the fight to the floor. Storm looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Storm lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Lincoln Storm showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Storm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
