The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badou walks into a stiff left hand from Maan.
Badou tries to work over Maan's front leg with a kick but Maan checks it.
Maan misses with a looping left.
Badou has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maan finds it's way round the side to connect with Badou's head.
A right-left combo lands from Maan.
Badou misses with a hook.
Maan throwing a counter right hand but Badou manages to avoid it.
Maan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Maan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Badou throws a low kick but it's checked well by Maan.
Maan is looking to counter punch.
Badou misses with a lunging right hand
and Maan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Badou uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maan.
Badou misses with an uppercut. Maan saw that one coming.
Badou throws a shot from downtown. Maan moves away and avoids it.
Maan throws an overhand right that drops Badou like a sack of potatoes! Maan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Maan!
After winning the bout, The Maan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
