Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Thomas (ranked 1131 p4p, 1766 weight class) and Davon Davis (ranked 168 p4p, 259 weight class). Thomas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Central Cee - 6 for 6. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Davon Davis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Davon Davis!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis defending well as Thomas loads up on a big left hand.
Thomas moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Thomas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Thomas was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Davis.
Davis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Davis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thomas thinking.

Davis stuns Thomas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Davis avoids a kick to the body.
Davis steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Davis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thomas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Thomas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Thomas throws a solid leg kick but Davis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thomas.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Davis, as that shot connected.

Davis throws a hook to the side of Thomas's head but Thomas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That was a close second round but I would say that Patrick Thomas will probably get the nod.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Davis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thomas - the referee stops the clock and Davis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thomas. Davis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Patrick Thomas.
I think Thomas has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
